A complimentary service. Water or ice is infused with scents and is then placed over the hot rocks resulting in a glorious burst of aromatic humidity and warmth. In the Finnish traditional this is called “löyly” (pronounced ‘lou-lu’). Infusion aromas may include mint, forest, birch, pinetar, eucalyptus, citrus and more. Infused water over the stones, softens the heat in the traditional sauna as it adds humidity to room. The higher the humidity, the hotter the experience. Sauna etiquette holds that one should always asks your fellow sauna mates before adding water to the stones. A slow drip makes for the best löyly.
