The Lost Faucet offers an authentic, hot sauna. In order to reap the benefits most people find that they must push through a certain amount of initial discomfort. The good news is that the more you do it – the better you get at it.
Heat-seekers 18 years or older are welcome!
Reservations are required for The Private 2.5hr Aufguss Sauna Session, The Banya Experience, and The Deluxe Sauna Circuit. For Social Sauna we strongly recommend you reserve a start time (if you drop-in there may not be capacity and you might show up in the middle of an Aufguss)
Bring with you:
a bathing suit – preferably well fitted suits as baggy, loose-fitting t-shirts, bermuda shorts and skirts carry a lot of excess water, making the floor slippery for others (you may go top-tional during private bookings)
a towel (sweat-ers are provided with 2 towels as they are required in the sauna – you may wish to bring another)
non-slip indoor flip flops (you will be asked to sanitize them by dipping them in water so rubber, non-slip flip flops are best)
water bottle
a robe if you desire (great for sitting out on the patio)
a method of payment or your physical or e-gift card with full 16 digits
You will be provided 2 towels for use in the sauna if you did not bring your own, and shower/hair soap. We do not offer robes though you are welcome to bring your own if that is your preference. Flip flops available for purchase or on loan. You may wish to bring your own shampoo and conditioner.
You must sign a waiver before entering the sauna. If you have health conditions or are pregnant you should check in with your doctor before using sauna. Pregnant clients must provide a doctors note or sign that they have consulted with a doctor.
Private sauna sessions are 2.5 hours. We recommend that you go through at least 3 heat, cooling, and resting cycles. Please see recommended cycle in “The Sauna House Experience”
There are cold drinks for purchase – no outside drinks permitted, other than water. We also have very small snacks. But a good sweat produces a healthy appetite. Check out our many great local restaurants in the Comox Valley for full meals.
Sauna can be personal or social but above all, sauna is a respectful place. Keeping your speaking volume at a reasonable level will please the Sauna Elf. Profanity, rude talk, and disrespect of other’s sacred sweating time may result in the Sauna Elf becoming upset….
